It’s with sadness and deep gratitude that we announce that after nearly 45 years in business,
Royal Khyber is closing its doors at the end of January 2026.
Urmil and Arun Puri brought this amazing cuisine to Orange County in 1981, as the first Indian restaurant in OC
when few people knew about Indian food, giving it their own unique and refined touch.
For over 4 decades, between two locations, through Covid and an unpredictable economy,
our family maintained a vibrant space for locals, visitors, and family to gather and connect around a meal.
Now, they need to take time for themselves. ♥️
We have not decided if we will open another Royal Khyber in the future, but for now, we are closing our doors.
